By Isaac Akugizibwe KIU Titans will play against JKL Dolphins on Saturday evening in the final game of the first round this NBL season. It also will be our first game on home court. The much anticipated encounter will tip off at 4:00PM EAT. Being at home makes this game a must watch especially for those who would wish to feel the KIU atmosphere catalysed by the fans in green who who never disappoint. The Titans have not been in action for the last ten days since that heartbreaking defeat to UCU Canons but have been training very well in the build up to this game. "The mood in the team is not bad but as you know when you rest for 10 days without competing, everything becomes a little bit tricky because you have to get the touch again,"Julius Lutwama, KIU Titans head Coach said in a press briefing. He added that the team has been practicing harder and are ready to play and end the first round in "the best way possible so as to motivate our selves for second round." Though JKL Dolphins has had some ups and downs of recent, they are still a core not to underrate at according to coach Lutwama,it is their never say never character that the Titans should be worried about. "It's a competitive team regardless of some lapses in recent history. They always bring alot in the game and they fight till the end no matter what," he said. The Titans missed four players in the last outing including top scorer Amisi Saidi Danny Carmelo who was nursing a knee injury. Him, Brian Opio, Collins Kasujja and Ahmed Kassa have since returned to training will definitely be ready for Saturday's encounter though the team's medical team will have to issue a late clearance for some. All the other players are fit will be waiting for the Coaches' decision for places in the starting team on Saturday evening. The Titans have won eight games and lost only twice this season. They have not lost on home court in the last three years and will need to beat the Dolphins to keep up with table leaders City Oilers who are yet to lose a game this season. The fantastic home court atmosphere is one thing KIU Titans and Rangers have missed this season and with the Titans now finally getting the first chance, it is a show worth attending.
